Frost School of Music and University of Miami alumni artists from across generations will perform at the Centennial Celebration Concert.
Conceived and led by Dean Shelton G. “Shelly” Berg, the concert will be emceed by TV host and School of Communication alumnus Jason Kennedy. The artists will be accompanied by an orchestra of Frost Symphony Orchestra undergraduate and Henry Mancini Institute graduate students, playing unique arrangements by Berg, students from the Studio Jazz Writing Program, and its director Stephen James Guerra Jr. They will be joined by an alumni rhythm section featuring guitarist Andrew Synowiec, bassist Will Lee, and drummers Marko Marcinko and Steve Rucker. The Frost Band of the Hour marching band will also join the celebration, which will finish with a fireworks display over Lake Osceola.
